SOAR Charter Academy is seeking a motivated, student-centered 4th Grade Teacher to deliver rigorous, engaging instruction while developing student leadership, responsibility, and academic independence. The 4th Grade Teacher creates a structured and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners, aligns with California state standards, and reflects SOAR’s commitment as a Leader in Me school working toward Lighthouse School practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction, Leadership & Curriculum Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Integrate Leader in Me principles and the 7 Habits into academic instruction, classroom routines, and student goal-setting Promote student leadership, collaboration, and accountability through project-based learning and leadership roles Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including enrichment and intervention Incorporate instructional technology and real-world applications to enhance learning Classroom Culture & Student Support Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom culture aligned with Leader in Me and Lighthouse expectations Model leadership behaviors and empower students to take ownership of their learning and conduct Support students’ social-emotional growth, self-management, and peer collaboration Maintain clear expectations for behavior, work habits, and academic integrity Assessment & Data Use Design and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress Analyze assessment data to inform instruction, intervention, and enrichment Maintain accurate grades, student records, and progress documentation Family & Community Engagement Communicate consistently and professionally with parents/guardians regarding academic performance, leadership growth, and classroom expectations Partic
