Role Description The Senior Paralegal role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Davie, FL. This role supports attorneys in estate planning and estate administration matters, including drafting and managing legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate filings. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and organizing client files, maintaining case calendars, and ensuring all documents comply with applicable laws and firm standards. The Senior Paralegal will communicate regularly with clients, courts, and other stakeholders, providing updates, collecting information, and coordinating signatures and filings. This role also involves mentoring junior staff, supporting process improvements, and contributing to the firm’s client-centered service culture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law related to estate planning and estate administration, with the ability to apply legal concepts in practical casework.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and managing wills, trusts, probate pleadings, and related instruments.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and third parties in a clear, professional manner.
- Advanced Research capabilities to gather, analyze, and summarize legal and factual information relevant to estate planning and administration matters.
- Attention to detail in Document Review, including verifying accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal and firm requirements.
- Several years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, or related practice areas; senior-level experience preferred.
- Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field; bachelor’s degree is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a high-quality, client-service environment.
