Snyder & Company is a fast-growing CPA firm in Lancaster, Ohio, that prides itself on being "not like other accountants." We're looking for a staff accountant to join our fun and unique culture. Our main software systems include Rightworks, GoFileRoom, UltraTax, Checkpoint CoCounsel and QuickBooks.
In this critical role, you will:
- Prepare tax returns and financial statements, handle bookkeeping and payroll tax filings, and take on whatever else comes your way
- Grow your technical and problem-solving skills through hands-on client work
- Build relationships with clients and teammates, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the firm
- Support partners and managers in delivering great service, including working directly with clients
- Apply critical thinking and research skills to reach conclusions and make recommendations
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree or higher a plus
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgment
- Solid written and verbal communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and able to work both independently AND as part of a team
- Experience with UltraTax, GoFileRoom, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks a plus
