Snyder & Associates is looking to fill an internship in their Fort Dodge, Iowa office for the Fall of 2026. The project work for these roles will be related to a thriving construction season for our clients in these regions. For the right intern, there will be much to do and much to learn.
Responsibilities
Will take on specific assignments from engineers, project managers and/or work group leaders. Majority of time will be spent observing / inspecting active construction work on-site and reporting / communicating to project managers regarding status and progress of construction.
Qualifications
Full-time college student majoring in civil or construction engineering. Must have strong work ethic, demonstrated desire to learn from hands-on experiences working in a team. Must possess strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and as an individual contributor; Able to manage activity through competing priorities. Must be reliable - i.e. punctual, attentive to assigned responsibilities. This can be a very client-centric role - must have strong people skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with a wide range of clients, contractors and other project stakeholders. Any prior experience with construction or prior internships in civil engineering or construction engineering is a plus. Any construction materials or DOT-related certifications a plus.
