Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, full haircuts, and nail clipping tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
- Handle dogs with care, ensuring safe animal restraint and gentle handling throughout grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin, and overall health, alerting veterinary staff or owners of any concerns or abnormalities
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, sterilizing tools and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Provide pet care advice to owners on grooming routines, coat maintenance, and general animal handling best practices
- Engage in dog training techniques to improve behavior during grooming sessions when appropriate
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming, with a strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styles
- Skilled in animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care procedures
- Familiarity with dog training methods and behavioral management strategies
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large dogs
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
this is a commission based pay, you’ll do your own schedule- schedule is flexible. You work when you want!
Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
