Snow Pro Truck Equipment is looking for Parts Counter Specialist who brings unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position.
As our inventory specialist you can expect to work closely with management with activities related to ordering, receiving, storing and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies and products. assist with the development and improvement of existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and do some heavy lifting. Other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price and cost reports, and doing weekly counts of all products.
Our successful Parts Counter Specialist should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of Quick books, and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
Parts Counter Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assists all Employees/Mechanics (shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
- Answers phone calls, providing stock, inquiring quotes and other information for parts services or runs.
- Provides high level of service to internal and external.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Notifies the shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
- Pulls orders for delivery to shop, making sure all parts are tagged with part / job number.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts.
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, and special-order parts.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
- Keeps front counter and warehouse areas clean and uncluttered.
- Cleans computer terminals and printers daily
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Maintains professional appearance and language
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor or member of KB Management team.
- Scheduled hours during snow storms set by Management will be strictly adhered to.
- Willing to cross train current/new Inventory Specialist to provide support in Parts Department
Parts Counter Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Degree in logistics or inventory management preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Intermediate or above level of Microsoft Word and Excel, database and spreadsheet software
- Experience with Quick Books and Shop boss a plus
- Able to work weekends on occasion during snow storms
- Ability to multi-task
- A solid team player with the ability to work independently
- Exceptional math and observation skills
- Available to work nights and weekends during snow storms
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Previous Parts or Warehouse experience prefered
