This job is on-site at our New Castle, Delaware location*
The ideal teammate would be able to:
- Conduct new team member onboarding, including orientation and training; conduct management development training in HR related areas, such as interviewing and coaching.
- Actively participate in talent acquisition, screens resumes, arranges interview team schedules, ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Lead employer branding initiatives and fosters long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
- Partner with HR Manager to recognize and respond immediately to breaches to company culture and values that adversely impact the work environment
- Ensure adherence to company policy, procedure and employment law.
- Organize team member social events in conjunction with department managers to foster community and improve intra-company engagement.
- Proactively partner with management to identify back-up staffing needs, emerging talent and the creation of development plans to cultivate emerging talent; analyzes diversity and takes action to increase the diversity of the candidate pool.
- Assist in spearheading company-wide HR initiatives
- Partner with HR Manager to review benefits administration, PTO/leave, payroll administration and protocols for all team members.
Would you describe yourself as someone who has:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
- At least 2-3 years of Human Resources experience (3 years strongly preferred)
- Technical knowledge of HR specialties including full life-cycle recruitment, employment law, staffing, training and compensation.
- The ability to expertly navigates various job boards, including LinkedIn, Career Builder, and really
- The ability to background screen and reference check
- A passion for Human Resources
- Experience in scheduling/calendar management a plus
- Strong coaching, counseling, negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of federal, state and local employment law.
- A self-solver personality.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail a must!
- A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
