- Onboarding, processing, auditing, and importing pay information for Certificated, Administrative, Non-Represented, and Athletics employees.
- Managing attendance tracking and unpaid leave of absence entries.
- Administering fringe benefits such as FSA, HSA, and HRA.
- Overseeing DRS membership, including enrollment and separation actions.
- Managing SEBB medical deductions, benefits, and pre-reconciliation.
- Handling SIF-2 responses for Workers' Compensation claims.
- Managing PFML taxation and monthly vendor billing activities, including union dues.
- Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
- Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
- Paid Holidays: This position may be eligible for up to 14 paid holidays per year. The number of holidays depends on the employee's start and end dates.
- Paid Time Off: Non-Rep employees are assigned time off according to the SVSD Non-Rep Handbook.
- Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more for SVSD in a school year, including substitute work, is eligible for benefits. Eligibility will be re-established at the start of each school year.

The Payroll Specialist also supports the Payroll Officer in all aspects of payroll development. This includes providing technical expertise, conducting research, and assisting colleagues, employees, and administrators as needed.
