- At least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent,
- Have received a passing score on one of the assessments approved by the Paraeducator Board (www.pesb.wa.gov); OR
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.; OR
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; OR
- Have completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
- A copy of a High School diploma or HS transcripts, or acceptable equivalent document.
- Official post secondary transcript(s).

This position is temporary for the 2025-26 school year and is paid on timesheet at step 1 (per PSE CBA 1.5.3.)
Position Summary: Under the direction of a certificated Teacher, this position is primarily instructional but limited to work within a Special Education self-contained setting (individually or in small groups), and will also assist with behavior and personal hygiene issues of high needs Special Education students. Benefit Eligibility:
Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
