POSITION SUMMARY: The Gynecologist provides comprehensive women’s health services across both the outpatient clinic and surgical settings. This role includes preventive care, diagnosis, and medical management of gynecologic conditions, as well as performing gynecologic surgical procedures in the operating room.

Essential Functions
Clinical Care
- Provide routine gynecologic care, including annual exams, screenings, and preventive services
- Diagnose and manage gynecologic conditions such as menstrual disorders, infections, pelvic pain, and menopause-related concerns
- Perform in-office procedures such as Pap smears, colposcopy, biopsies, IUD insertions/removals, and other minor interventions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle recommendations
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform gynecologic surgical procedures in the operating room, including but not limited to hysterectomy, laparoscopy, dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopy, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and sterilization procedures
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative evaluation including surgical planning, risk assessment, and informed consent
- Deliver post-operative care including follow-up visits, complication management, and recovery planning
- Participate in surgical call coverage as required
- Collaborate with anesthesia and perioperative teams to ensure safe, efficient surgical care
- Maintain surgical competency and privileging requirements
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with clear communication and education
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all patients
- Ensure timely access to care and efficient patient flow
- Address patient questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Work closely with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care
- Collaborate with nursing, surgical and support staff to optimize clinic operations
- Facilitate referrals for advanced or surgical care when needed
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, surgical safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring
- Ensure accurate coding, billing, and documentation practices
- Establishes strong patient relationships through integrity, transparency, and compassionate care
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Delivers high-quality, evidence-based gynecologic and surgical care
- Continuously seeks to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience
- Embraces new approaches, technologies, and evidence-based practices in women’s health
- Contributes to advancement of gynecologic and surgical services
- Builds meaningful relationships with patients, families, and care teams
- Collaborates across disciplines to ensure coordinated, holistic care
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Active, unrestricted medical license (state-specific)
- DEA license (if applicable)
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
- Strong clinical expertise in gynecology and outpatient procedures
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Effective communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient clinic efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Sensitivity to diverse patient populations and needs
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality care
- Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation
- Outpatient clinic setting

- Standard clinic hours with potential for extended hours based on patient demand
