Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery (specifically dozer and/or track loader) on construction sites, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, and skid steers on construction sites.
- Perform digging tasks and site preparation to ensure proper grading and drainage.
- Safely transport materials using heavy machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, and/or skid steers.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and site plans is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license; CDL license is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as needed.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
