Barista/Clerk

Join our team! This is a unique and hybrid position.

Sunday 6pm-5am

2 weekday shifts 12am-5am (depending on your availability)

Must be able to cover shifts as needed

The night shift hotel clerk and barista is a graveyard shift ONLY position to cover inn and coffee stand tasks simultaneously. After training, employees are expected to be able to:

• Make and serve coffee, food, and drinks to Mojo stand customers.

• Prioritize inn phone calls and guest check-ins and needs. This may require informing coffee stand customers of extended waits or, in extreme cases, temporary stand closure.

• Charge accurate rates and fees.

• Collect and record inn cash deposits OR record full card information for morning authorizations at inn.

• Correctly fill out inn check-in paperwork, calendar, and daily roster.

• Make notes of any necessary developments for next shifts at stand, AND inn office. (Room [X] given 2 pillows, [X] out or broken at coffee stand, etc.)

• Perform regular maintenance cleaning and stocking, as well as deep cleaning: including nightly allocated chore and noticed areas of neglect.

• Follow proper Health and Safety guidelines for serving food and drink.

• Oversee property while maintaining personal safety first and foremost: know when and how to call 911 or non-emergency, safety procedures, the cancel codes for false fire alarms etc.

• Be comfortable conducting other miscellaneous tasks required to insure the smooth continuation of business and hospitality operations at SnohoMojo coffee stand and at the INN at Snohomish now and in future.

Addendums:

• Employees MUST be able to handle manual labor. Job requires extended periods being on-your-feet while making drinks, cleaning, and responding to inn concerns. MUST HAVE FULL RANGE OF MOTION FOR CLEANING TASKS/LIFTING WITHIN OSHA GUIDELINES.

• Must maintain a current food handler permit.

• This is a night shift position only. Hired employees are not subject to day-time shifts, being moved to a daytime schedule when a position opens etc. We expect employees who applied to have a personal life/schedule which fits well with the unique hours of this shift.
