Job Title:  Unit Director, Oak Harbor Boys & Girls Club

Reports to:  Chief Operating Officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County

Location:  Oak Harbor, WA

Schedule:  Monday-Friday

JOB SUMMARY

Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) is a geographically dispersed mid-sized non-profit organization dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We are seeking a Unit Director to lead our Oak Harbor Boys & Girls Club.  The Unit Director is responsible for the management of Club programs in accordance with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County requirements, and the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to increase membership and average daily attendance. In addition, the Unit Director is responsible for managing the performance of Club staff, the care and up-keep of the facility, community/school relations, budget development/control and fund-raising.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the Club program within the organization's youth development mission.
  • Provides supervision and development of Club staff and volunteers.
  • Supports key Boys & Girls Club initiatives.
  • Manages necessary administrative functions and assigned resources.
  • Promotes and markets programs to club members, parents, and the community, including the school district and city.
  • Actively connects with the community, neighborhood, and other organizations.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and problem-solving guidance.
  • Responsible for the care and up-keep of the facility and equipment.
  • Assists in the identification and recruitment of potential donors/sponsors to the club and the organization.
  • Establishes a program setting that insures the health and safety of staff and members.
  • Develops and manages a budget that maximizes revenues from activities and emphasizes maximum cost controls.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Management experience in a child care setting required.

Management experience in a licensed child care setting preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar non-profit organization preferred.

Fundraising experience preferred.

Familiarity with trauma-informed practices.

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant education and experience, and job-related skills and competencies.
