Snider-Blake is searching for skilled individuals for a short-term Data Entry position for the downtown Cleveland, OH area. This position will support a large-scale records digitization and electronic file management initiative. Staff will assist with converting paper-based program files into digital records within departmental operating systems, including Power Apps. This assignment requires individuals with strong administrative, technical, organizational, and communication skills who can perform detailed records management tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and productivity standards.
Job Type: Full-time, In person only. No remote
Pay: $20/hr
Work Environment: Fast-paced office and records management environment focused on high-volume document processing, electronic file management, and administrative support operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scan large volumes of paper records using department copier/scanner equipment
- Prepare files for scanning by organizing, labeling, separating, and reviewing documents
- Upload, organize, and index scanned documents into Power Apps and related departmental systems
- Review scanned files for readability, completeness, quality control, and proper naming conventions
- Maintain accurate digital and physical recordkeeping procedures
- Track file movement and assist with records organization and retention activities
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and staff regarding file processing issues, missing documentation, and workflow updates
- Handle confidential resident and program information appropriately and securely
- Meet daily production, scanning, and data entry expectations within established timelines
- Follow structured departmental procedures and workflow processes with minimal supervision
Desired Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn complex operating systems quickly, including Power Apps
- Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute •
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools, and electronic document management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with administrative support, records management, data entry, or document processing
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong attendance record
- Prior experience with document scanning or digital imaging operations
- Experience working within records retention or electronic filing systems
- Prior administrative or clerical support experience in a high-volume office environment
- Experience working with databases, case management systems, or municipal/government systems
- Ability to lift and move file boxes and paper records as needed
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to perform repetitive scanning, filing, and keyboarding tasks daily
