Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated 1st and 2nd Sewing Machine Operators to join our manufacturing client in Brooklyn, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality garments, upholstery, or fabric products according to precise specifications and safety standards. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Duties
- Operate various sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and sergers, to assemble fabric materials into finished products.
- Measure and cut fabric materials manually or with measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions for each project.
- Conduct seam construction and garment sewing tasks adhering to detailed specifications and quality standards in production.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of fabrics and finished goods.
- Perform quality checks throughout the sewing process, verifying dimensional measurements and fabric integrity.
- Maintain safety standards in production by following proper machine operation procedures and using protective equipment.
- Support garment construction by executing embroidery, serging, or upholstery sewing as required.
- Assist with fabric handling tasks such as manual cutting and material preparation for sewing operations.
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Must pass a skills test, but you will be shown how to use the machine and practice before taking the test.
Hours:
- 1st shift: M-F 6A-2P paying $16/hr
- 2nd shift: M-Thurs 3P-1A paying $17/hr
