Key responsibilities:
- Install, configure, patch, monitor, and maintain SQL Server across production/stage/dev
- Performance monitoring and tuning (indexing, execution plans, query optimization)
- Backup/recovery plus high availability & disaster recovery (including Always On Availability Groups)
- Security hardening, RBAC/access controls, encryption (TDE/Always Encrypted), auditing/alerting, and compliance support
- Database development: schemas, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers; support integrations/ETL (SSIS where applicable)
- Technical leadership: mentoring, setting standards, code/design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration
- 7 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with hands-on performance tuning and HA/DR
- Strong T-SQL development and relational database design background
- Proven experience securing 100 SQL Servers (hardening, access control, encryption, auditing)
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Azure SQL / Azure SQL Managed Instance / AWS RDS (Preferred/ )
- SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, PowerShell, and database CI/CD (Git/Azure DevOps, etc.)
