Job Title: Network & Infrastructure Manager

Position Overview

This role is responsible for the overall design, administration, and optimization of the organization’s network and infrastructure environment. The position combines hands-on technical responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring reliable performance, security, and scalability across enterprise systems.

The individual in this role will oversee network operations, guide engineering resources, support multi-site environments, and partner with leadership to maintain a stable and secure IT ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

Network & Systems Administration

• Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and server environments
• Configure, implement, and maintain network hardware and supporting systems
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning across infrastructure
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, hardware, and performance
• Maintain documentation for configurations, changes, and architecture

Infrastructure & Security

• Design and support secure network architecture, including internal and external connectivity
• Maintain wireless networks and communication systems across facilities
• Develop and enforce security standards, policies, and access controls
• Support disaster recovery environments and ensure business continuity readiness
• Evaluate and implement improvements to network and security posture

Active Directory & Enterprise Platforms

• Administer a multi-location Active Directory environment, including replication and DNS services
• Support core Microsoft platforms such as Exchange and SQL Server environments
• Plan and maintain system architecture to ensure scalability and reliability
• Provide escalation support for complex infrastructure issues
• Ensure environments are properly documented and maintained

Team Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and support a team of network and infrastructure engineers
• Provide direction on troubleshooting, system improvements, and capacity planning
• Partner with leadership to identify process gaps and improve operational efficiency
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and leadership
• Support performance management and development of team members

Project & Operational Support

• Participate in infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and technology implementations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/consultants
• Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and contract discussions
• Support enterprise systems tied to operational technologies (e.g., SCADA or similar environments)
• Contribute to ongoing training, planning, and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
• 5 years of experience in network administration, systems engineering, or infrastructure support
• Experience working in enterprise, multi-site environments
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies, Microsoft platforms, and infrastructure systems
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across network and server environments

Certifications (Preferred or Equivalent Experience)

• Cisco networking certifications (CCNA or similar)
• Microsoft certifications related to infrastructure or systems administration
• VMware or virtualization experience
• Storage/SAN experience

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license within the state of employment
• Ability to travel locally as needed for on-site support

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based with a mix of sitting, standing, and occasional movement
• May require light lifting of equipment (up to ~25 lbs)
• Work involves standard IT equipment, moderate noise levels, and indoor environments
