You will be doing:
- Compliance & Reporting: Oversee preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across various jurisdictions.
- Audit Defense: Lead and manage sales tax audits, including gathering documentation, responding to auditors, and negotiating settlements.
- Research & Planning: Stay updated on state/local tax law changes, conducting research to apply regulations correctly and minimize liability.
- Process Improvement: Develop controls, automate filing processes, and reconcile tax accounts.
- Collaboration: Work with IT, finance, and legal teams to ensure proper tax configuration in systems and advise on tax implications of new business initiatives
What you need to have:
- CPA and Accounting degree
- 5 years of experience within tax and sales tax
- Excellent communication and collaboration
- Must live in the DFW area
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
