Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide excellent grooming services to a variety of pets. This role requires not only grooming expertise but also strong interpersonal skills to interact with pet owners and ensure their satisfaction.
Must have 5 years grooming experience in a salon!
**We are specifically looking for someone to work the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday. If you cannot work these days this position will not be a good fit.**
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs of all breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming & common areas, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist with other animal care tasks as needed, including kennel duties or pet sitting when required.
Requirements
- 5 years grooming in a salon.
- Must be able to groom 6 or more dogs a day.
- Positive, kind, and constructive attitud.
- Hours 7:45am-5pm Monday-Friday. 7:45am-4pm Saturdays. (These are rough hours as you may leave once all of your dogs are picked up).
- Strong knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy animals safely and handle them with care during the grooming process.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
