Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support daily menu needs
- Assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, utensils, and storage areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene throughout all stages of meal prep
- Assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision, including heating, mixing, and plating
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Hands-on experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong kitchen skills
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Proficiency with knife skills and meal preparation techniques
