We are currently seeking a Quarry Groundman to join our team at SRM Concrete. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance within an industrial environment, with specific skills in electrical systems, plumbing, and welding. This role is critical to ensure the continuous operation of our Quarry by performing regular maintenance, repairs, and general labor within our Quarry and machinery within.
Your Mission & Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and systems to identify any signs of wear, malfunction, or other issues that could disrupt production.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to a scheduled plan, minimizing the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns or operational delays.
- Conduct general labor duties
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to undertake complex repairs under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations applicable to a Quarry environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical training or a vocational degree in a related field is a plus.
- The ability to operate various types of plant machinery safely. Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
- This role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- The Groundman will be exposed to various conditions such as noise, dust, and outdoor weather..
