Job Summary:
The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for coordinating functions for the Maintenance Department, including assisting with the maintenance of equipment and procurement of equipment and supplies to effectively plan all maintenance work projects. This role will partner with the Maintenance leadership team to provide recommendations to improve the Maintenance Department procurement record keeping processes and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
• Order and maintain department office supplies and maintenance parts, ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
• Track and monitor inventory levels for tools and parts using JDE software, keeping equipment records and documentation up to date.
• Receive inventory, create labels, and enter new part numbers into JDE.
• Fulfill part and equipment requests for maintenance technicians, including preparing kits and staging pick‑ups for mechanics and electricians.
• Research parts using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) catalogs to identify cost‑effective options.
• Manage the parts inventory system, including spare parts status, purchase requisitions, vendor pricing, warranties, and work order tracking.
• Support routine monthly equipment and building maintenance by assisting with WestRock’s preventative maintenance schedules.
• Follow all WestRock safety procedures and guidelines.
Collaboration & Team Support (People and Culture)
• Partner with the Reliability Manager to review identified issues and confirm required parts for maintenance checklists.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to ensure parts are ordered and delivered on time, especially during planned outages.

Experience:
• Required: 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance environment
• Preferred: Working knowledge of parts, electrical, mechanical knowledge, material purchasing and planning experience
• Preferred: Parts inventory management system application experience
Education:
• Required: High School diploma or G.E.D.
