Duties

• Operate dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning stations to efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
• Ensure all food handling and cleaning procedures adhere to safety standards in production and food safety management
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing ingredients using proper knife skills and handling food preparation equipment safely
• Support meal and food preparation by organizing supplies, ingredients, and kitchen tools for chefs and cooks
• Handle heavy lifting of supplies, dishes, and equipment safely following manual handling guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, storage spaces, and kitchen surfaces to meet sanitation requirements
• Support the team during busy service times by serving as a reliable backup in food service or catering tasks when needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with slicing techniques are advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
