Smokey Ridge Health and Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide hands-on care and support to our residents. The PCA plays a vital role in helping residents with daily needs while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Provide assistance with meals and feeding as needed
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents
Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff
Offer companionship and emotional support to residents
Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Follow infection control, safety, and facility procedures
Document services provided in accordance with facility policies
Participate in training, meetings, and in-service programs as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Currently registered in CNA class.
Prior experience in a long-term care.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to quality care
