Vape Shop Sales Associate

ResponsibilitiesStore operations and sales

• Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Drive sales and meet goals by providing excellent product recommendations and ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Manage and organize store inventory, including receiving stock, conducting audits, and monitoring product trends.
• Handle cash register operations, process transactions, and assist with basic financial reporting.
• Maintain store cleanliness, a well-organized sales floor, and visually appealing displays.

Team leadership and development

• Supervise, train, and motivate staff members to achieve store goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Help create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper store coverage.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Help resolve employee conflicts and create a positive and professional work environment.

Customer relations

• Provide a friendly and welcoming environment for customers, addressing their needs and answering questions.
• Handle customer complaints or grievances, escalating issues to the store manager when necessary.
• Ensure that staff members are properly checking IDs to comply with age requirements for purchasing vape products.

Compliance and administrative duties

• Support the store manager in ensuring all operations adhere to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations for tobacco and vape products.
• Complete administrative tasks, such as sales and inventory reports, promptly and accurately.
• Assume full responsibility for the store's operations in the absence of the store manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment, with prior leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vaping products, including devices, e-liquids, and accessories.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Must be of legal age to sell tobacco and vape products.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
