Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversations
- Assist customers with product selection
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers, including cash drawer handling and cash management procedures
- Handle retail math calculations efficiently for sales totals, discounts, and change making
- Maintain precise data entry records for sales transactions
- Support the store’s daily operations by managing the cash drawer, balancing registers, and ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with retail store environments preferred
- Basic math skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for quick transaction processing
- Experience with financial software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Retail store experience that demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude
