Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with precision and accountability.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members as needed.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with sales techniques and upselling strategies is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
