Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and floral design
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on horticulture supplies and outdoor equipment to meet customer needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized shelves through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure product availability and visual appeal
- Offer exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and guiding shoppers through store layouts and product features
- Support store operations by performing cashier duties, retail math calculations, and processing returns or exchanges efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to uphold store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or floral design is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and merchandising tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting products or moving stock
