We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welding to support the production of custom and standard metal products. This position requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal materials according to project requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, presses, and plasma cutters.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Repair and modify existing metal structures and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality control guidelines.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency with MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent).
- Experience with custom metal fabrication.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Knowledge of metal finishing and assembly techniques.
