Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the orthodontist in delivering high-quality treatment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records using Cloud 9, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare treatment areas before and after procedures, including sterilization of instruments.
- Assist with the placement,removal, and adjustment of orthodontic appliances.
- Take alginate impressions and digital scans.
- Inventory Control.
- Managing a fast-paced patient schedule.
- Occasionally help front desk manage incoming calls.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient flow and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, with familiarity in orthodontics being a plus.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
