Purchasing Specialist
Smith is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our SMITH team. Once you join this team, you will be a part of OneSMITH. Our diverse portfolio of pieces can be found in consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices, solar, and aerospace & defense.
Essential Job Duties
- Work collaboratively with internal customers (ie. Sales) to increase revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships.
- Required sourcing, price negotiation and expedition of purchase orders (POs).
- Execute and manage POs and dispute resolutions in a timely manner.
- Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Smith’s purchasing methodology, commodities, services, industry standards, and terminology.
- Interface with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure PO’s are processed seamlessly and meet the needs of the customer.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience of 1-2 years in purchasing.
- General knowledge of supply chain management.
