This position takes fortitude, entrepreneurial instinct and top relationship building skills to be successful. The Account Representative will be responsible for the sale of semiconductors and electronic components. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to build their own customer base by prospecting, servicing, and nurturing an account base that includes OEM’s and CEM’s around the world.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEMs and contract manufacturers via phone and email, acting as a trusted partner for semiconductor sourcing needs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer-specific semiconductor and electronic component needs, including escalations and urgent shortages
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of components and supply chain solutions
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, forecasts, and pipeline activity within CRM systems
- Drive sales by identifying component requirements, cross-referencing part numbers, and initiating engagement through outbound prospecting, technical discussions, and solution-based presentations
- Understand and communicate the value of Smith’s services within the semiconductor supply chain
- Monitor and respond to semiconductor market trends to provide strategic guidance to customers
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply terms in alignment with real-time market conditions and component availability
- Collaborate closely with Smith’s Purchasing team to source hard-to-find and allocated components, ensuring quality, traceability, and supplier reliability

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of and experience with selling strategies is preferred
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
