What You’ll Do
As a Medical Equipment Planner I, you’ll help plan and manage the medical equipment scope for healthcare projects—coordinating with architects, vendors, and clinical users, maintaining accurate equipment lists, and supporting procurement and installation activities.
- Serve as a professional client interface—plan the medical equipment scope for healthcare projects and keep stakeholders informed.
- Attend onsite/remote planning sessions and user group meetings across all phases (SD, DD, CD, CA, Procurement & Equipment Management).
- Assist with the Medical Equipment Responsibilities Matrix; coordinate with design teams and attend OAC meetings as requested.
- Support vendor presentations/site visits and assist with RFP analyses per client request.
- Conduct room‑by‑room content reviews using ESP (proprietary software); request and implement client equipment standards.
- Obtain and compare quotes; update budgets; generate equipment lists within established standards and guidelines.
- Review drawings and coordinate equipment requirements; ensure dimensional accuracy and note changes clearly.
- Track the equipment budget; review/enter purchase orders; resolve purchase‑order issues; secure customer sign‑off for selections.
- Coordinate delivery, storage, and installation of medical equipment when contracted; assist with inventories and move‑management.
- Research emerging technologies/products; prepare close‑out packages and final reports at project completion.
- Set daily priorities to meet deadlines; maintain organized documentation and follow established planning processes.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and / or related experience in the Healthcare environment and / or Clinical arena
- 1-2 years of medical equipment planning experience or related experience preferred
- Experience planning small projects in the acute care setting
- Basic understanding of building design and construction schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- General understanding of hospital/clinic procedures and department functions; ability to read architectural drawings.
- Budget awareness—create and maintain budgets; detail‑oriented with clear written and verbal communication.
- Customer‑focused collaborator with strong organization, judgment, and active listening; able to manage multiple tasks.
