BLASTER (1st or 2nd SHIFT)

Smith & Loveless is united under one cause: “Protecting Water. Protecting People.”  We are seeking a Blaster (1^st or 2^nd Shift) to partner with our experienced production teams in this environmentally focused industry.

The primary function of a Blaster (1^st or 2^nd Shift) at Smith and Loveless will be to blast and prep production items, miscellaneous parts, and products for paint.  This is a very physically demanding job.  Must be able to carry a heavy blaster and move materials (50-100 lbs).  First shift is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  Second shift is 4:00pm to 12:30 am.

Job duties

• Work with steel grit to remove rust on metal
• Run overhead cranes
• Run forklifts

Skills/Requirements

• Previous forklift experience and certification preferred.
• Ability to read work orders
• Demonstrated good work attendance in previous jobs.
• Read and understand units of measurement
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to pass an alcohol and drug screening, background check, and physical exam.
• Must be able to perform simple, repetitive routine tasks.
