Criminal Defense Attorney

The Smith & Eulo Law Firm is looking for an energetic, go-getter, Criminal Defense Attorney with 2 years of experience to join an amazing team of successful, caring, and compassionate Criminal Defense Attorneys. This role will be based out of the Sarasota office. Spanish skills are preferred but not required. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive representation to clients in all stages of criminal defense matters.
• Advise clients on legal rights and defenses.
• Conduct legal research and case investigation to support case preparation.
• Draft motions and legal documents, negotiate with prosecutors, take or defend depositions or other investigatory interviews, appear in court and client meetings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on developing case strategies.
• Maintain case files and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, or other parties.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in criminal law.

Requirements:

• Florida Bar license
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
