What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Homes?
PURPOSE:
To greet family and guests when they arrive for the wake/visitation or service. Answering the phone in a courteous manner. Making sure the funeral home is presentable both before and after wakes and services. This means all the chapels, lounge, and lobby areas should be clean and in the same conditions as prior to the wake or service. Closing the building at the conclusion of a wake or service. Making sure that all doors are locked, lights are off; phones are transferred to answering service etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Involves standing, leaning, or sitting while working.
- Some computer experience and knowledge.
- The environment is mainly inside, sometimes inventories will be taken outside.
- The ability to travel to and work at all three of our locations: Palatine, Glenview and Chicago (the Sauganash neighborhood).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
