What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer - Construction position at Smith Construction, Inc?
Smith Construction, Inc is a Family Owned and Operated business in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We do a range of work from Site Excavation, Utility Pipe Installation and More! Our growing team is Hiring for the Summer 2026 Season.
The ideal candidate has a valid Driver's License, is confident working independently or as team. And can perform general labor work. Including but not limited to pipe installation, shoveling, raking, sweeping and cleaning.
Requirements
- Be 18 years or older.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Be willing to obtain a Class A CDL.
- Follow all company policies.
Knowledge of Heavy Equipment is appreciated but not required.
Employment Hours:
· The required working hours are 40 – 50 hours per week Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
- The required working hours are 40-50 hours of work per week Monday through Friday
- Every other Saturday will be a required work day when needed.
Job Type: Seasonal - Full Time. This position may offer hours in the winter.
Salary: $18.00- $22.00per hour
