Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including erosion control measures to protect the environment and maintain site integrity
- Support skilled workers by handling manual tasks such as heavy lifting, material transport, and equipment setup
- Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to understand project requirements and assist in implementation
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently under supervision, ensuring proper maintenance and timely repairs of equipment
- Aid in implementing erosion control strategies and ensuring compliance with environmental standards throughout construction activities
- Perform routine inspections of tools, machinery, and safety gear to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights safely
- Knowledge of erosion control practices and environmental protection measures on construction sites
- Carpenter experience required
- Ability to operate power tools effectively while adhering to safety guidelines
Pay: $13.73 - $20.00 per hour
