Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Concrete/Shell Project Manager role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of shell construction, from pre-construction planning and budgeting through closeout and handover. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. The role involves preparing and reviewing project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and reports, as well as tracking costs and supporting accurate billing and certified payroll. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients, design teams, field supervisors, and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret project data, schedules, and performance metrics, and to proactively address risks and issues.
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Budgeting and Finance to develop, track, and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
- Experience in Contract Management, including reviewing contract terms, managing change orders, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably involving public or government-funded work.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll processes is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to lead on-site teams, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of detail and organization.
