Scope
This position will report directly to the Supervisor and be responsible for operation of sewing machines with a focus on personal safety, the safety of others, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Possess desire and ambition to work safely and efficiently and report all work hazards immediately.
- Ability to sew pieces according to style and fabrics/leather.
- Use sewing machine to sew cushion casing, inside and outside backs, pillows, and armcaps.
- Understand match fabric and how to sew it.
- Identify pieces and placement on furniture.
- Understand quality standards and correct mistakes when they are identified.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirments
- Prior experience in sewing preferred
- Attention to detail
- Maintain good attendance
- Team orientation and willingness to work with others
Preferred Skills
- Ability and willingness to be cross-trained
