Title: Sr. Network Engineer
Location: Queens, NY (hybrid)
Salary: $120,000 – 140,000 Bonus
We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a global technology team that supports a mission-critical SaaS infrastructure used by leading financial institutions. This role is hands-on, high-impact, and central to keeping our low-latency, revenue-generating systems secure, resilient, and always available.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit global group of engineers who take ownership of uptime, quality, and innovation. This is a collaborative team that values clear communication, accountability, and people who enjoy solving big technical challenges — especially under pressure.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available network infrastructure supporting financial trading systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and major incident response for network-related issues in a 24/7 production environment.
- Partner with global peers to monitor and optimize low-latency networks across multiple continents.
- Work within a controlled change management process to ensure minimal disruption to production systems.
- Plan, script, and execute complex infrastructure changes — including off-hours and weekend work when needed.
- Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle for all network hardware.
- Collaborate with vendors to design and deploy new capabilities that meet business demands.
- Contribute to operational standards, documentation, and process improvements.
- Support internal teams and external clients with technical guidance and reliable communication.
What You Bring
- 7–9 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- 5 years of network operations experience, including troubleshooting, incident handling, and performance tuning.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Expertise with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and Layer 2 switching (Port-channel, vPC).
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication skills — both technical and business-facing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Bonus Points For:
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, etc.)
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications
- RHCE or CompTIA certifications
