In this highly visible role, the Cybersecurity - Compliance Advisor will sit at the intersection of cybersecurity, risk, and regulatory compliance, helping ensure the integrity and security of a global financial technology environment. The successful candidate will work closely with security engineering, cyber defense, and compliance teams to strengthen controls, guide strategy, and respond to evolving regulatory expectations.

Role: Cybersecurity - Compliance Advisor - Hybrid

Salary: $120,000 to $180,000 Bonus Stock

Location: Stamford, CT

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities for the Cybersecurity - Compliance Advisor will include supporting enterprise-wide cybersecurity compliance initiatives across technology platforms.
  • Designing and executing testing programs for cyber, information security, and privacy controls.
  • Partnering with security engineering and cyber defense teams to guide compliance alignment.
  • Assisting in incident response efforts, including documentation, analysis, and process improvement.
  • Enhancing internal controls and proactively identifying compliance gaps or risks.
  • Drafting business requirements to improve surveillance, monitoring, and compliance tools.
  • Coordinating and support responses to U.S. and international regulatory inquiries.
  • Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and written supervisory frameworks.
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements in compliance strategy and cybersecurity governance.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems preferred).
  • 5–7 plus years of experience in IT risk, cybersecurity, audit, or compliance—preferably within financial services or a regulated environment.
  • Experience with incident management, including playbooks and tabletop exercises preferred.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and security event analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with log analysis and monitoring systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and protection frameworks.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO, COBIT, ISACA, etc.).
  • Exposure to regulatory environments (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA, or global equivalents is a plus).
  • Knowledge of attack frameworks and kill chain methodology.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across both technical and business teams.

Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
