Job Title: Accounting and Cash Applications Manager – Healthcare Finance
Salary: $100,000 to $130,000
Location: Hartford County, CT

Responsibilities:
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
- Coach, mentor, and manage a team supporting general accounting and cash applications
- Set priorities, delegate effectively, and elevate team performance
- Identify and develop high-potential talent
Own the Core Accounting Function
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
Drive Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies and proactively automate repetitive accounting processes
- Improve workflows to increase accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Play a key role in redesigning and improving payroll-related processes and system integrations
Oversee Cash Applications (Through SME Team)
- Provide leadership and oversight across key systems including Epic, PeopleSoft, Kyriba and related financial platforms
- Ensure timely reconciliations, issue resolution, and system alignment
- Partner cross-functionally to support upgrades, testing, and process improvements
Partner Across the Organization
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and operational teams on key initiatives
- Represent Accounting in system-wide projects and process improvements
- Provide clear insights and responses to leadership
Requirements:
- 7 years of accounting experience, with prior leadership experience
- Strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes
- Experience in hospital or healthcare environments strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive efficiency
- Experience with systems like PeopleSoft, Kyriba, Epic, or similar platforms is a plus
- CPA preferred
