Smilez is expanding and opening a new retail location in Corunna, Michigan! We are currently hiring Full-Time Budtenders to join our founding team.
Important: The Corunna location is not yet open. All interviews and initial training will take place at our Burton, MI location. Applicants must be able to commute to Burton for interviews and the training period.
Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable, customer-focused individuals with open availability to work all shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities as the new store develops.
Compensation:
- Starting pay: $14.00 per hour plus tips
- Performance-based raises every six months until wage cap is reached

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and welcoming manner
- Educate customers on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
- Accurately process transactions using POS system
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with Michigan CRA regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor
- Assist with inventory and daily operational tasks
- Follow company policies and compliance procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- Prior cannabis retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation required (for Burton training period)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
- Detail-oriented and team-focused
- Must pass all required background checks per Michigan regulations and be 21 years or older.
