Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab/Denture Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory skills, a solid understanding of dental fabrication, and experience working with various dental and medical systems. This role involves collaborating closely with dental professionals to create high-quality dentures, crowns, and other prosthetic devices while maintaining strict infection control protocols. The technician will also support clinical staff with chairside assisting and patient assessments as needed, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate dentures, crowns, bridges, and other dental prosthetics with precision using CAD/CAM technology and traditional laboratory techniques.
- Assist with chairside procedures, including patient assessment and preparation for dental restorations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as micrometers, dental articulators, and imaging tools.
- Ensure all laboratory work adheres to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and lab reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the clinical team by assisting with patient vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation as necessary.
- Collaborate with dentists on patient treatment plans utilizing medical terminology and coding knowledge.
- Follow all safety protocols related to infection control and laboratory procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lab/Denture Technician or in a similar role within a dental or medical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental fabrication processes, CAD/CAM systems, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic for documentation purposes.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with chairside assisting, including patient assessment and vital signs measurement.
- Ability to operate precision tools such as micrometers accurately.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on patient care excellence.
