Duties:
- Insurance Verification/Inputting: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for dental procedures prior to treatment.
- Claims Submission: Prepare and submit accurate claims to state and private insurance companies, ensuring compliance with their policies and procedures.
- Payment Processing: Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Account Management: Maintain and update patient billing records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding their insurance benefits, billing inquiries, and outstanding balances.
- Collections: Assist with collections of outstanding balances, including setting up payment plans and following up on overdue accounts.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports, track claim status, and identify areas for improvement in billing processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate coding for procedures performed.
