NIGHT SHIFT
Responsibilities
- Secures and/or packages parts and assemblies according to directions from Lead or Supervisor, using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment as needed.
- Cuts work pieces, using powered saws, torch, or machine as necessary.
- Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
- Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
- Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
- Moves structural elements by hand and machine through the use of chain rigging, overhead/jib crane, material conveyor, or transfer stations and other material handling equipment.
- Cleans work areas as needed Performs other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Prefer High School diploma, GED or equivalent, 0 – 3-years work experience.
- Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. of material.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers.
- Ability to work for extended hours in a physically challenging environment. Must be physically fit.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, if necessary, with co-workers, maintenance, supervisors, and inspectors.
