SMC Landcare is a commercial landscape company serving HOA, commercial, and institutional properties across North Texas. We are seeking Landscape Technicians to join our field teams and support high-quality landscape maintenance, enhancement, and installation work across our properties.
This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in doing quality work, working as part of a team, and contributing to well-maintained properties.
Position Overview
The Landscape Technician is responsible for executing landscape maintenance, enhancement, and installation work according to SMC Landcare’s quality, safety, and performance standards.
Landscape Technicians are dedicated members of an assigned crew and play a key role in delivering consistent, professional results. All daily work is coordinated through the Crew Leader to ensure alignment with job priorities and expectations.
This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance

Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and clean-up

Maintain turf quality, plant health, and overall site appearance

Identify and report issues related to plant health, irrigation performance, or site conditions
Enhancements & Installation

Support landscape enhancement and installation work as scheduled

Install plant material, mulch, soil, and landscape features

Assist with seasonal projects and property improvements

Follow Crew Leader direction and job specifications
Equipment & Jobsite Care

Properly use and care for tools, vehicles, and equipment

Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
-
Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
-
Report damaged equipment or unsafe conditions promptly
Safety & Professionalism

Follow all safety policies and procedures
-
Use proper PPE and safe work practices
-
Represent SMC Landcare professionally on all properties

Work collaboratively with crew members and leadership

Qualifications
Required

Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Preferred

Landscape, construction, or outdoor work experience

Familiarity with landscape tools and equipment
