The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining document-centric business solutions within the OpenText platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain document-centric business solutions within OpenText.
- Build and configure complex workflows to automate business processes.
- Develop and customize forms, user interfaces, and advanced reports to meet functional requirements.
- Implement and integrate new OpenText modules into existing environments.
- Perform complex system integrations between OpenText and other enterprise applications.
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and apply advanced problem-solving to resolve defects.
- Support platform upgrades, patches, and migration activities while minimizing downtime and risk.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards in all solutions delivered.
Scheduled Milestones and Deliverables
Milestones and deliverables will align with priority projects as assigned. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Elections Redaction Scanning
- Cloud Migration
- Intelligent Capture Upgrade
- Public Health HR Scanning and Migration
- Auditors AIP Changes and HR Scanning
- DocuSign Electronic Signature Integration
The resource will be expected to deliver assigned work within defined scope, schedule, and quality standards.
Metrics to Measure Performance
- Completion of assigned project deliverables within defined scope and schedule.
- Accuracy and quality of developed solutions with minimal defects or rework.
- Successful implementation of complex integrations, workflows, and module deployments.
- Timely resolution of technical issues and escalated vendor tickets.
- Adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards in all deliverables.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
- 7 years of professional experience in software development, systems analysis, and IT project delivery
- Experience in both front-end and back-end development is often expected
- Proven track record of working in complex IT environments with multiple stakeholders
Core Technical Skills
- Java, C#, Python, JavaScript (React/Angular), SQL
- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL; familiarity with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus
Application Development Frameworks:
.NET, Spring Boot, Express.js, Django, etc.
Web Services / APIs:
RESTful services, SOAP, API Gateway tools, Swagger/OpenAPI
Cloud Computing (increasingly important in IT):
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; ability to develop and deploy cloud-native applications
DevOps & CI/CD Tools:
Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes
Security & Compliance:
Understanding of IT security practices (authentication, authorization, encryption), especially in enterprise environments
Systems & Analysis Skills
- Strong background in systems analysis and design
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
- Experience with Enterprise IT systems (ERP, CRM, legacy systems, or custom platforms)
- Knowledge of ITIL, change management, or similar IT operations frameworks is a plus
- Comfortable with data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports)
Project & Process Management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments
- Ability to serve as a bridge between business and technical teams
- Skilled in creating technical specifications, system documentation, and workflow diagrams
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, Microsoft Project)
