Process Control & Electrical Engineering Manager
We are working with a leading global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Process Control & Electrical Engineering Manager for their site in Akron, Ohio.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for supporting production and site operations through process optimisation, electrical engineering expertise, and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of process control and electrical engineers.
- Provide direction to external contractors, including draftspersons and drawing specialists
- Ensure full compliance with EHS standards, policies, and electrical safety regulations across the site
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance
- Lead troubleshooting activities across processes, control systems, and power distribution systems
- Deliver and manage projects, including capital projects, focused on continuous improvement
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and wider engineering teams to achieve operational goals
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering and process control within an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution systems
- Experience with PLCs and control systems (Allen Bradley and/or Foxboro desirable)
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively
Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
